Customised cable are special cable that are "made to suit" the specific requirement of an application.
In most cases, these cable call for special sheathing material, different style of stranding, special
treatment on the individual cores, different screening or armouring and core laying styles.
Applications may vary from environments with extended temperature to aggressive gases or drag chain
applications in extreme hot or cold temperatures and complex robotic applications.

This extends to special mining applications where very sturdy outer sheath is required to work under extreme stress, yet displaying considerable flexibility and resistance to temperature and chemicals.
Customised cable may also just involve a slight enhancement such as change in outer sheath, colour and core identification using different colour, ink or number coding.
